AOL Shuts Down Comics Alliance

After rumors over the weekend at the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), it appears that AOL has shut down popular comic news/blogger site Comics Alliance. While the site looks to be still online, there has only been one update since Friday, and several sources are confirming the shut-down. Even their podcast, War Rocket Ajax was moved to an independent site. CBR’s Robot 6, The Beat and others are reporting the news.

Comics Alliance is a three-time Eisner Award nominee. It is owned by AOL along with other sites like Moviefone, Spinner, Cambio and others.
