Catwoman Added to Injustice Gods Among Us

It seems that DC are answering the fan calls for more video games based in their comics universe and the latest of these to surface, which I have only just heard about is ‘;Injustice: Gods Among Us,’ which is a beat em up and one that am looking very much forward too.

The game, which is being developed by NetherRealm has just added Catwoman to a line – up of characters that already includes: Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Nightwing.

The game, which was unveiled at the recent gamescom expo in Germany also includes interactive objects, super moves and multi-tiered stages.

The Metropolis-based Future City stage, for example, features three tiers: the street, the rooftop and the museum.

While the Batcave features two stages which can be navigated by smashing players through the floor or into elevators.

Background objects can also be used to help in your fight, but the items you can use are limited by the character that you choose to play.

Powerful characters such as Superman have the ability to throw cars, while speedy fighters can bounce off the same vehicles to perform unique aerial attacks.

The game sees the return of the super meter, which when filled allows players to execute some pretty extravagant moves.

The developers have also dropped the traditional three-round fighting system, opting instead for a “more cinematic” single-round system.

Announced in May, Injustice: Gods Among Us is said to have a deep original story, taking place in “a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred”.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is scheduled to release in 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
