Marvel Annulled The Marriage of Storm and the Black Panther
Marvel Comics has annulled the marriage of two of its top heroes.
Avenger Black Panther unceremoniously ended his relationship with X-Man Storm in the pages of this week’s Avengers Vs. X-Men #9.
T’Challa coldly informs Ororo of the fact when she arrives in his kingdom of Wakanda in the wake of an attack by superpowered X-Man Namor.
“Our marriage was annulled by the high priest of the Panther Clan,” Black Panther tells her. “You are not my wife anymore.”
When Storm observes that he is the high priest, he simple says: “Please do not come here again.”
The pair were hastily married during the events of Civil War, with some protest from fans, who considered it to have been shoehorned in.
Storm and Black Panther have fallen on either side of the divide in the recent event miniseries.
