New The Dark Knight Rises Cast Revealed

New The Dark Knight Rises Cast Revealed

More cream of casting news has risen to the surface of The Dark Knight Rises production. As the last actor updates to Christopher Nolan’s Batman film finale trickle in, roles are bound to shrink to mere collected seconds on screen. Maybe that’s why our latest update consists of not one, but three fresh faces to the cast.

According to Variety, “Rescue Me” actor Daniel Sunjata is in early talks to portray a Special Forces operative.

Red head Diego Klattenhoff—having been mostly remanded to the small screen save an appearance in Mean Girls—has won the part of a rookie cop. Finally, the trade asserts that character actor Ben Gorman (seen in Layer Cake) is also in talks for a supporting role.

“The Dark Knight Rises” is set to begin production soon in Pittsburgh, a departure from former shooting local and Gotham-muse Chicago. These three new male additions join recently added actors Josh Pence and Juno Temple, in addition to fellow Batman newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy.

With Special Forces now involved in the story, we’re given to wonder the level of action required to surpass that of “Dark Knight Returns” in this, the culminating act of Christopher Nolan’s triptych of Dark Knight drama.
