X-Men: First Class Logo And New Image Debut

While we still have to wait until this summer to actually see the movie, the logo for X-Men: First Class debuted today along with a new image and an announcement that the first trailer will go live tomorrow morning.

The logo debuted on the official X-Men: First Class Facebook page, and features a giant “X” and the text “Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters” running around it. It’s a simple, eye-catching logo, and it’s not the only news arriving here on Splash Page today.

The first trailer for X-Men: First Class will also go live on Facebook tomorrow, according to EW, who an image from the trailer. The image appears to feature Magneto in costume — cape and all.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn (Stardust, Kick-Ass), X-Men: First Class is described as telling the story of “the formative years of Xavier and Magneto, and the formation of the school…” This will bring fans back to a time before Professor X and Magneto were enemies (even before they went by those names, in fact) and is intended to explain how the X-Men got to be, well… where they are today.

X-Men: First Class is due in theaters June 3 from 20th Century Fox.
