Mike Richardson Hints at Potential BPRD Film
Dark Horse president Mike Richardson has hinted that a Hellboy spinoff movie could be in the pipeline.
Speaking to MTV, the exec said that a film based on the publisher’s B.P.R.D title – which ties in with the Hellboy series – is a possibility.
When asked whether Guillermo del Toro is planning a third movie based on the comic book demon, Richardson replied: “There are some other projects Guillermo is working on right now, but you might be more likely to see a B.P.R.D movie before another Hellboy movie.”
Debuting in the Hellboy comics, the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense has appeared in several of its own Dark Horse series over the years. Its members include Dr Kate Corrigan, Abe Sapien, Roger the Homunculus and Liz Sherman.
A movie based on B.P.R.D is yet to be confirmed.
