Marvel Asking Fans Which Deadpool Series to Cancel

Marvel Asking Fans Which Deadpool Series to Cancel

Marvel Comics vice president-executive editors Axel Alonso and Tom Brevoort have been saying recently that Marvel is looking to scale back their volume of titles a bit, and it looks like they’re serious: In a move reminiscent of when DC Comics asked fans if Jason Todd should live or die, Marvel is running a poll on their site asking readers which satellite Deadpool comic should be canceled, Deadpool Corps or Deadpool Team-Up. Whether or not this move is enough to appease the “Deadpool is in too many comics!” contingent remains to be seen.

Keep in mind, there’s no “view results” option to potentially sway voters, so there’s no way to assess who’s winning (or losing) this race — so let us know in the comments. If both of these Deadpool comics are drowning and you can only save one of them (which seems to be, essentially, the case), which one would it be?

I’m going to keep an eye on the sales numbers to see if the one with the lowest sales is going to be the one that’s gone… With all the tricks that Marvel has been pulling of late (IE the reducing some titles to $2.99 which didn’t happen) I’m thinking this is just another publicity stunt.

What do you think?
