Countdown to Halloween: Ben Templesmith

About 2 years ago at Supanova I had the chance tocatch up with Ben Templesmith who is one of the nicest, twisted guys I’ve met. And I mean that in a good way!

As usually with Supanova I get to go one day with my son and then one day by myself so he doesn’t get overwhelmed with the amount of people so I first went and introduced myself to Ben and then organise an interview on the following day.

While Ben was signing he let me sit down with him for an hour as we just chatted about what he had been doing as well as what he wanted to do.

That being said I asked if Ben could do a sketch for me. Since I currently run 2 sketch books I had my Grendal one being used at the time so I only had my “Artist Choise Favorite Villain” book with me. So Ben was able to do Hellspawn which was his first title to work on with Steve Niles.

I can’t thank him enough for the sketch and I’m hoping to get to catch up with him next time he’s down on the side of the world again!
