Countdown to Halloween: Midnight Sons

W#hen I started getting heavily into comics back in the early 90’s I was introduced to Ghost Rider during the Danny Ketch run. if anyone has read that run you would remember that all of the Marvel Monsters were brought together into the one world with the cross over Midnight Sons.

This brought around a few new titles into the world with Nightstalkers (Blade, Frank Drake and Hannibal King); Morbius the Living Vampire; the Spirits of Vengeance (Ghost Rider (Daniel Ketch), Johnny Blaze, and later Vengeance (Michael Badilino); and the Darkhold Redeemers (Sam Buchanan, Victoria Montesi, Louise Hastings, and later Modred, and Jinx). Doctor Strange all playing their part.

This is what I was looking for at the time so I jumped on board with all of the titles and from there have followed the characters ever since.

I had the chance a couple of years ago to commission Mike who was the creator of the web comics Year One and Out of Print (which both have been finished now unfortunately) who has a unique style. With Year One he was doing the Marvel Characters as if they were in first grade so all of them were kids.

The concept for both was great and when I had the chance I picked up 2 sketch cards from Mike starting off the Midnight Sons with Ghost Rider, Morbius and Blade.

Unfortunately I don’t have a digital copy of the Blade Card and it is mounted up on the wall at home currently but here are both Ghost Rider and Morbius for all the fans!

Hopefully Marvel will bring them back some day!
