Elric: The Ruby Throne

Titan Comics has released a Elric: The Ruby Throne trailer.

The publisher has previewed the new adaptation of the classic Michael Moorcock fantasy.

Writer Julien Blondel and artists Didier Poli, Robin Recht and Jean Bastide collaborated on the first volume of the hardcover series, which has been endorsed by the legendary creator.

The book centres around the origin story of Elric of Melnibone, the albino anti-hero, sorcerer and king to a crumbling and corrupt nation.

Elric is drawn into battle by his cousin Yyrkoon, who seeks the Ruby Throne for himself.

The story famously introduced Stormbringer, Elric’s soul-devouring rune sword.

Elric: The Ruby Throne Vol 1 will be released on September 16.
