DC Comics has announced Batman/Superman.
Writer Greg Pak and artist Jae Lee will collaborate on the ongoing team-up book, reports USA Today.
The comic will continue in the vein of pre-relaunch title Superman/Batman, with the debut arc focusing on the first meeting between the two heroes in the New 52 continuity.
“What would your reaction be if you saw a guy running around in a bat costume in the dead of night attacking people for the first time?” said Pak. “And what would your reaction be if you met an alien who could crush steel in his bare hands for the first time?
“These guys are going to have very different immediate impressions of each other than we’re used to seeing with these characters.
“There’s an element of danger to the book that I think is very real and very exciting.”
Pak is best known for his work on Incredible Hulk and most recently X-Treme X-Men.
Lee has been illustrating the Before Watchmen: Ozymandias miniseries, and worked on the first handful of Marvel Comics’ Dark Tower miniseries.
Batman/Superman will replace one of DC’s recently canceled six titles. Issue #1 will be released in June.
