Maggie and Hershel Cast in the Walking Dead
When news broke this past week that Pruitt Taylor Vince had joined The Walking Dead as Otis, a character from the comic books connected to farm owner Hershel Greene, the obvious question was, “Who is playing Hershel?”
Now we know the answer, as casting has been revealed for both Hershel and his daughter, Maggie. TVGuide.com reports that Scott Wilson will play Hershel while Lauren Cohan will play Maggie, two pivotal characters Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group of survivors encounter. Wilson is a familiar character actor, whose credits include Junebug and a recent role on Justified – not to mention his role as one of the killers in the 1967 film In Cold Blood. Cohan has been very busy in genre TV in recent years – after playing Bela in Supernatural, she was in both The Vampire Diaries and Chuck this past season in notable recurring roles.
