Avatar Press is a premier sponsor of the Wizard World Comic Con Tour and will have a presence at all 2010 events.

“We look at these shows as the perfect opportunity to build our readership at the local level,” said Avatar Press President and Editor-in-Chief William Christiansen. “We want to show people something they haven’t seen before and cause them to go to their local retailer and ask for more.”

Avatar will exhibit and provide creator talent, VIP books, special events and exclusives starting with Toronto Comic Con in March and including the Philadelphia, Chicago and Austin shows, as well.

“The interaction that you can only get at the shows provides an invaluable avenue for feedback from our readers,” said Avatar Press Creative Director Mark Seifert.

Fans will have the opportunity to get their hands on Avatar VIP Packages, graphic novels, hardcovers, trades, convention-exclusive special editions and speak with some of the talented artists and writers who create them.

“We’ve been friends with William and Mark for the past two decades. It’s great to see how well the momentum for Avatar Press has accelerated, and I am delighted to welcome them to our Wizard World Comic Con tour,” said Gareb Shamus, Wizard Entertainment CEO. “They are a great asset, and the fans can now meet the folks from Avatar Press across North America.”

Avatar Press will present a VIP book for Toronto Comic Con. A special edition incentive book for Philadelphia Comic Con is forthcoming. Additional Avatar Press guests, VIP books and convention exclusives will be announced soon.
