Comic Reader for PSP arrives but misses something
Yes, as the title states the Comic Reader for the PSP has arrived with the firmware version 6.20 which was released earlier today. Now as this is a big thing with the digital world where we can get comics on iPhones and soon to be PC’s with programs such as Comics by ComiXology and Longbox, the good old PSP might be another avenue for people to have access to comics and/or introduce new people to the medium.
That being said I don’t think this is a successful upgrade.
This Digital Comics Reader deals with comics and cartoon strips. The digital content for the same would be available from PlayStation Network. Eric Lempel, director, PlayStation Network Operations, in a blog post at the official PlayStation Blog, announced that the new service PlayStation Network Digital Comics will be launched in December and hundreds of comics would be available for download as purchase or for free. Check out www.playstationcomics.com to try out the free sample from the service and to get more details on the same.
Now that’s well and good to announce the plans for the comics to be released but as it’s currently the 20th of November as I write this why didn’t they wait for the release of the firmware so people would be able to get it then log into the reader and download some comics.
So now for me to be able to try it out I have to download the firmware, then go to log into the reader which it asked me to download more software, then I went to browse the comics and this is what you get.

Now I can understand that we might get things after the USA down here so I checked for that as well and this is what I saw:

But it is…
So it’s great to have the reader, but where’s the content Sony? Couldn’t you wait 10 days to launch the firmware so we could get some content right away?
When they do finally have something for us to read on the platform I’ll be sure to check it out, if I remember, and then I’ll put up some thoughts about it as a reader.

today is december the frist and i did”t get the comics on playstation store why having launch yet today
I haven’t checked myself yet… you can try to go to http://www.playstationcomics.com and see if there are any there yet.
